This Body Mapping presentation accompanies the Body Mapping activity also available on this platform. This is a great ice-breaker to get to know your students. I tie in Habitus and emphasize a process in which students can make connections to their daily lives. It’s a really creative time to have students open up and share parts of their identity. You can also dive into Kimberle Crenshaw and intersectionality as well. When the body mapping workshop is over, students are encouraged to put them up on a wall and discuss with their classmates important parts of their identity if they wish.
